Here is something to keep in mind when going from R7 to R8 (potential issue!): Important: Known issue with Avaya IP Office Release 7.0 to 8.0 upgrades Publication Date: 27-Jan-2012 For all Avaya IP Office Release 7.0 installations that occurred after 12 September 2011, Avaya is providing a no-cost upgrade to Release 8.0. Avaya will be releasing a Release 8.0 up-issue that will address this problem. In the meantime, contact your distributor for assistance in upgrading to Release 8.0. Jan 28, 2012 |

If you are running in the Standard Mode in R7 and upgrade to release 8 does it require you to purchase the Essentials Lic. to continue in that mode rather than reverting back to Basic Edition? |
