Hi, I am trying to update an IP Office 500 v2 from 7_0_27 to Ver 8 and I am going trough the procedure of upgrading, putting the password in , it transfers the files, confirm I want to do the upgrade, the system restarts, and before it starts to show the transfer windows I get the error: 405 TFTP not allowed. I also tried on another system to upgrade from 7_0_5 to 7_0_23 and 7_0_27 and getting the same error. My laptop is Win XP 32 bit, no firewall / antivirus connected directly to the IP Office (no switch). I have successfully updated another system from 7_0_5 to 8 with this laptop just a week ago.
I have tried with a different laptop Win 7 32 bit.
Any ideas?
Many thanks

Andrei

Hello Andrei –
Do you have the TFTP server address set to that of the IP Office (e.g., the address listed in the LAN1 tab?)

Yes I did. I also tried removing the TFTP IP address, restart Ip office, tried again and Fail. I have wiped the security settings to default (I change all my passwords as a company policy) and set the configuration to default. Once restarted switched to Standard mode (I had to put the upgrade license in) and tried another upgrade.
SUCCESSFUL !!!! Not sure what it was but I want to find out. I have another system that it does not upgrade and I want to try try step bu step and see that’s the problem.

Regards

Andrei.

Well, the IP Office can sometimes act in strange ways! Well done, anyways.
